Localisation Manager

The AuthorIT Localization Manager delivers breakthrough technology to improve cost-efficiency, quality, and time-to-market. It has been specifically designed to track and manage translation and localization of source content into any single or double-byte language. It is tightly integrated and elegantly complements the advantages of AuthorIT's comprehensive single-source authoring, management, and publishing technology.

The Localization Manager paves the way for ultimate content reuse, by leveraging reused content directly from AuthorIT's single-source database. This reduces or even eliminates repeated translations, with translators only working on new and changed content. Real projects have shown substantial savings in localization costs, through automating processes, single-source publishing, and significant reductions in translation word counts. The Localization Manager will seamlessly integrate with existing localization and translation processes, and uses XML to provide compatibility with translation memory tools.

Offline Authoring Module

Work on an AuthorIT library from any location. Just a few clicks and you are ready to go. Take as little or as much of your AuthorIT library as you like, or send an offline library to a remote contributor. When the offline library is returned the new work is automatically re-synchronized with the main library. All security, permissions and documentation standards, established in the main library, are retained in the offline library. The central library can still be worked on while the offline libraries are in use.

Used in conjunction with Workgroup and Enterprise Editions only. One module is required for anyone using or creating an offline library.

Project Manager Module
Manage the documentation process using integrated project and task management. Design projects with tasks, summary tasks, milestones, and task dependencies. Assign tasks to authors and contributors. Progress is dynamically updated as tasks are completed. Control all aspects of your documentation process with the same tool you use to create it.

Use AuthorIT Project Manager to manage your documentation projects. Integrates with AuthorIT Workgroup and Enterprise Editions.

Licenses for AuthorIT Project Manager must be purchased for each intended Project Manager.

MIF Import Filter
Quickly and easily import your existing FrameMaker MIF files into AuthorIT with our MIF Import Filter. The MIF Import Filter is only required by the person actually doing the import. Once imported, all AuthorIT users can use the information. Integrates with AuthorIT Desktop, Workgroup and Enterprise Editions. An evaluation version of the MIF Import Filter is included with all AuthorIT Editions.
