As part of the proposal procedure for any project, you will normally receive a fixed-price quote against a detailed specification of the documentation we plan to create. So, you know exactly what you'll get and exactly how much you'll pay for it. We agree stage payments and milestones for assessment of progress.

If what we are documenting is still in development or subject to significant change, no problem. We commonly work on a budgetary basis, whereby we provide an estimate of the likely maximum cost for the whole project based on whatever information you can supply at the outset. This gives you an early feel for the worst case. We then charge only for time actually expended, with the aim of coming as far within the worst-case estimate as possible.

If a project evolves beyond its originally envisaged scope, we'll keep you fully informed of any required additional work and, if necessary, agree appropriate funding changes.
